Money abaout to be thrown down a drain, yesterday.One Renault Safrane, six cylinders, and a whole lot of trouble. Seemingly it's far harder to get an engine repaired on a 3.0 V6 Safrane than I expected, with one dealer quoting over £2,000 to solve the troubles.

I'll just repeat that. Over £2,000.

That, on a car that was purchased for £51. Time to work on an elaborate solution, possibly involving string, sticky back plastic, and a complex system of mirrors.

Unless somebody's got a spare engine kicking around?
